The advantages were both financial savings, and a very short time to sale. A key factor in all of this was that they made us a genuinely good offer for our home 'as-is'. We would have had to spend a lot of money over a significant number of months and then listed and sold the property to recoup the same ROI that we got by simply selling as-is. This was an unexpected, but very pleasant finding! In our case, selling as-is allowed us to avoid Capital Gains tax, which we would have accrued had we renovated the property. Update: Still on their mailing list, they are not competent enough to remove a disgruntled person from their marketing list, probably not smart enough to buy or sale anything. They comb probate records to contact grieving families about purchasing property. They also do not have any reading comprehension skills nor they communicate with each other in the office. I received an unsolicited text on June 23 addressed to my husband that has zero interest in my father’s estate. I was ugly in my response but it was pretty clear that I did not want to be contacted again. I get a piece of mail today, again, addressed to my husband. I would not do business with vultures because that is what they are!
