4 months agoOur mom's 54-year old house was in very bad shape. It had a cracked slab, extensive rot on the overhang, part of the driveway was removed to repair a cracked sewer line, the top of the brick chimney was collapsed, and it obviously needed a new roof.
Inside, the house was very dated with 1970's style bath and kitchen fixtures, wood paneled walls, and acoustic tile ceilings. Most the vinyl flooring was original to the 1971 construction.
The house was also filled with 50+ years of clutter and furniture that none of the heirs had room for. Brian and Drew at Cedar assured us that we could take as much or as little out of the house as we wanted and it wouldn't affect their offer.
Cedar offered us a very fair price - particularly considering the more than $130,000 in repairs the house required. Additionally, from the first time we met them at the house until we closed roughly 5 weeks later, Brian and Drew remained accessible and transparent, quickly responding to any of our questions and adjusting the closing date to accommodate an out-of-state sibling. The closing was at a local, highly reputable law firm and took less than 35 minutes.
Before Cedar became involved, my siblings and I dreaded the amount of time and money we were going to invest to sell this house. I'm still somewhat in disbelief at how smoothly and painlessly the whole process was from start to finish. I highly recommend Cedar Cash Home Buyers to anyone in our situation who is seeking a locally owned and staffed company that they can really trust.
